Beer Soap (Cold Process)

Did you know that you can make CP soap with beer? Yes, you can. Basically, you replace the water in your recipe with beer. Now in this Beer Soap recipe from Soap Making Essentials it asks for flat beer which sounds like you can add any brand you wish. So if your male companion had a party with leftover (flat beer) go ahead and use it for this recipe.

If you would like to learn more about taking soap with alternative liquids such as beer, coffee and juice, I would recommend checking out The Nova Studio because they are now offering a class in this very subject.

I love making soap with my boyfriend's home brewed beers. The trick is making sure it is COLD and absolutely flat. You can either let it sit out for days to go flat or you can boil it and then put it in the fridge to cool. :)

Sharon,

Using beer in soap is a new thing to me. The first time I heard of it was when Lori Nova Endres offered a class at her studio.
