Sunday Night Spotlight: Cocoa Butter
I have taken a variety of body product classes from The Nova Studio. Some of the products I learned how to make used Cocoa Butter. You say that you never used Cocoa Butter in your body products? I have used in both refined and unrefined versions and I have to say that sometimes I like to have the chocolate scent and sometimes I do not. If you have never used cocoa butter while making your own body products and want to learn about it, I found a post from The Soap Queen called Sunday Night Spotlight: Cocoa Butter. This posting breaks down in simple terms about how to use this wonderful ingredient in your products. You should give it a try sometime.
I have a B.A. in Mass Communication and took my first melt and pour soapmaking class in 2002. Since then I got hooked making my own bath and products. I have taken various courses in Soapmaking (Melt & Pour, Cold Process, Hot Process), lotion making (lotions, creams, lotion sticks), bath products (bath salts, body scrubs), body products (lip balm, body butters, body balms, whipped butters) and more. Most of all of my classes were taught by Lori Nova of The Nova Studio in Point Richmond, Ca. I have taught courses since 2004 at various locations. I have worked as an Event Coordinator at Michaels Redwood City.
