Thai Bath Tea Recipe

When you are soaking in a bath do you love using bath teas?  Never heard of a bath tea  According to The Natural Beauty Workshop when salt, herbs, and delicate essential oils combine to conspire to infuse bath water with an amazing blend of scents and properties, you know you are experiencing a really great Bath Tea. Like any good tea, Bath Tea begins with a great collection of dried botanicals. Herbs, spice powders, dry flowers, and sea vegetables are all ideal ingredients for creating a special tea for the bath. Salt, Essential Oils, and other aromatics can be added as well, enhancing the benefit and allure of the recipe.
The Natural Beauty Workshop's Thai Bath Tea recipe was inspired by the bright, fresh scent of crushed lemongrass, and the deep musky notes of jasmine. Spearmint, and Green Tea Powder help to amp up the green notes in the tea's aroma, while dense Kelp Powder, spicy Ginger Powder, and natural Sea Salt add circulatory benefits. So why not get the ingredients together and start making right away.

Goatsmilk Bath Tea Recipe

Several years ago I took a class from Lori Nova (Endres) of The Nova Studio on how to make your own bath salts, body scrubs, milk baths and tub teas. We learned how to make a milk bath recipe that was very simple and packaged in a very cute way.

As I follow the Soap Queen's blog - Soap and the Finer Things in Life - Anne Marie posts a very different recipe. Her recipe includes cocoa butter and pink sea salt. This is a recipe that can be included to your bath products library. Give it a try and let us know what you think.

Have you ever used or heard of bath teas? Well, the best way to describe them is a choice dried herbs, blended to perfection, packaged in disposable "tea" bags that are used while soaking in the bath tub. Using bath teas can promote relaxation, softer skin, assist with back pain and sore tired muscles.

In this particular Bath Tea Recipe by Destri from the Mother Huddle appears on the site Make and Takes also includes bath salts as an ingredient. So you can consider this recipe like a bath salt with herbs. The author also makes the suggestion that you can add the following to this recipe to enhance it even more:

Essential oils – spearmint, grapefruit, mandarin, bergamot, petitgrain, and rosewood.

Mix in - powdered milk, baking soda, cornstarch, ground oatmeal. All of these are skin softening.

How to Make an Herbal Tea Bag for the Bath

Do you like to soak in the tub?  This recipe by Meri from ehow incorporates the best of a milk bath and a tub tea to make one great soak.  Use your favorite herbs like lavender and your favorite powdered milk to create this wonderful recipe.  I really like the idea of putting your mixture in a muslin bag.  This will help prevent any of the herb from going down the drain and plugging it up.

If you are a vegan you can still make this recipe, just subsitute the regular powdered milk with alternative non-dairy powdered milk such as powdered rice milk. So check out this recipe How to Make an Herbal Tea Bag for the Bath by Meri from ehow.
