Doughnut Melt & Pour Soap
Awhile back Michaels Arts and Craft store had on its shelves a kit where you can make your melt and pour soaps look like doughnuts. When I was in a class at The Nova Studio we were making cupcakes soaps from a cold process recipe. I had mentioned that there were two kits that you could make your soaps look liike cupcakes and doughnuts. One of the students said that she tired the kits and the soaps did not come out looking as good as the picture on the box. Isn't that always the case? But anyway I found this Doughnut Melt and Pour Soap Tutorial on the Soap Queen website that I just wanted to share. Maybe these will come out better the Michael's kit that Homer Simpson would be proud to use.
I have a B.A. in Mass Communication and took my first melt and pour soapmaking class in 2002. Since then I got hooked making my own bath and products. I have taken various courses in Soapmaking (Melt & Pour, Cold Process, Hot Process), lotion making (lotions, creams, lotion sticks), bath products (bath salts, body scrubs), body products (lip balm, body butters, body balms, whipped butters) and more. Most of all of my classes were taught by Lori Nova of The Nova Studio in Point Richmond, Ca. I have taught courses since 2004 at various locations. I have worked as an Event Coordinator at Michaels Redwood City.
