Does beeswax offer any benefits to our skin?

Have you seen a recipe that calls for beeswax and wondering if it has any benefits to your skin?   Well, yes it does.  According to Point of Interest, beeswax provides a protective barrier to the skin and it is an emollient so it can moisturize the skin.  But there are some lotions that call for beeswax as an emulisifier. But according to the author, it is not a emulisifier on its own. It has to be added with borax to actually incorporate.
