Rose Clay & Charcoal Soap Tutorial
It has been 2017 for 10 days. Are you still looking for a rejuvenating cold process soap recipe? I found this one from The Soap Queen called Rose Clay & Charcoal Soap. Both rose clay and charcoal are known for their oil-absorbing properties. According to the Soap Queen, charcoal in particular binds to dirt and oil in the skin, bringing them to the surface, In this particular recipe, the charcoal is sprinkled in between layers to create rustic looking stripes.

Himalayan Salt Bars (Melt and Pour)
About a year and a half ago, I found a recipe for a hot process soap (not melt and pour) recipe for a Himalyan Salt Bar recipe in an issue of Willow and Sage. I have not tried to make it since i seems to be a recipe that could be difficult to manage. But I did find a melt and pour recipe on the Wholesale Supplies Plus website called Himalayan Salt Bars (Melt and Pour) that maybe an easier project to try first.

Vegan Lip Stain
Are you looking for a lip stain recipe that is vegan? Low and behold I found this one from Wholesale Supplies Plus called Vegan Lip Stain. This recipe is natural and vegan lip stain doubles a moisturizer. The Alkanet Root Powder is infused into the butter and oils which leaves a soft ping color on your lips. The recipe also contains coconut oil, shea butter, cocoa butter and jojoba oil which will give your lips a supple softness. The Candellia wax adds the hardness to keep the product solid.

DIY Moonlight Essence Spray Perfume
It has been many years since I took Lori Nova's perfume class when she taught through DeAnza Foothill College Community Education. She used a more natural route by using carrier oils. In the class, we made a solid perfume and a roll, But I do not recall making a spray version. In this recipe from the Soap Queen called Moonlight Essence Spray Perfume uses Isopropyl Myristate which is a synthetic product that creates a nice slip in lotions and helps absorb into the skin quickly. It can be used in bath oils, massage oils and perfumes. It can be used at 100% for a your perfume base. I really like the bottle that is used for this recipe.
