Black Salt Bath Bomb DIY

Have you ever heard of black salt?  I had not until I saw this recipe from The Soap Queen for Black Salt Bath Bomb.  IF you decide to use charcoal in this recipe, Polysorbate 80 is key in this recipe.  Polysorbate 80 is an emulsifier that helps mix the charcoal into the water, resulting in less charcoal on your skin and tub.

Heart Cupcake Bath Fizzies

When I took a bath fizzy class at The Nova Studio in April 2013, one of the project we made were cupcake fizzies with frosting.  During the class it was mentioned that we could add special ingredients to them and one of them was shea butter.  Melanie, the instructor, said we we would have to experiment with the ingredients to see who it would turn out.  Well, I found this recipe Heart Cupcake Bath Fizzies from Wholesale Supplies Plus which included shea butter.  In this particular recipe it calls for two tablespoons.  I do not know if that will be the appropriate amount for Melanie's recipe but in her recipe she had 2 tablespoons of a carrier oil so maybe that would be the same amount I could use of shea butter.

Buttercream Bath Bombs Recipe

Love taking baths?  Have you ever tried a bath bomb before?  It really makes your bath extra special with effervescence and aroma to your bathing experience.  You are wondering what effervescence is?  Well, the best way to explain it is bubbles!  Yes, bubbles. It is the reaction of the sodium bicarbonate and citric acid when gets wet by the bath water. This recipe for Buttercream Bath Bombs from DIY Skincare has an extra special ingredient of Cocoa Butter.  Now you can use the ultra refined version which the nice chocolate aroma is taken out, but in this recipe you might want to choose the natural version so it will nicely complement the buttercream fragrance that the recipe calls for.  If you decide to use an alternative fragrance that does not go with the chocolate aroma then I would suggest going with the ultra refined.

Ocean Breeze Bath Bombs Recipe

These fresh scented Ocean Breeze Bath Bombs from The Natural Beauty Workshop are inspired by the crisp, refreshing feeling of sea water. Drop one in the tub, close your eyes, and imagine yourself on a sandy beach somewhere beautiful. Sea Salt, Kelp Powder and Coral Calcium add the ocean's skin care benefits to the recipe, while Parsley Powder provides a touch of color. These bombs are scented with a bright blend of citrus, mint, and juniper, making them a great pick-me-up. This recipes makes about 17 ounces of bath bomb mixture, which is enough for two large, or four small bath bombs.

Bath Bombs with Salts Recipe

Love making your own bath bombs? Here is a new twist on an old bath bomb recipe from The Soap Queen. Bath Bomb with Salts Recipe appears on the blog Soap and the Finer Things in Life. What is new to this recipe is the addition of fine Brazilian Sea Salt. According to the Brambleberry website, Brazilian Sea Salt Brazilian salt crystals are made by the natural evaporation of Atlantic sea water in shallow ponds using the sun and wind. A process that takes one to five years after which the "crop" is washed, screened and packaged.

And a liquid surfactant is used and Amanda recommends using Super Mild Surfactant Blend™ from Ingredients To Die For. So if you want different look to your bath bombs then give this recipe a try!
