Kiwi Seed Facial Mask

I really loved the mud mask that I could purchase at Walmart, but a long time ago they stopped selling it.  So I have been on the hunt for a new one.  I found this one from The Natural Beauty Workshop called Kiwi See Facial Mask.  Since I have not tried to duplicate my favorite mask yet, I thought I would take a look at this one.  According to The Natural Beauty Workshop, fresh facials provide an excellent opportunity to pamper the face with active ingredients but they can be tricky to formulate into shelf stable products

Peaches & Cream Facial Scrub

I normally use a commercial apricot scrub for my face and I have not really found a recipe that I that I would want to make.  But I found this recipe from The Natural Beauty Workshop that sounds good enough to eat.  It is called Peaches and Cream Facial Scrub.  I would say that most of the ingredients can be found at your local grocery store but the peach kernel oil and the oat straw extract may have to be found at a health food store or possible online. Since this recipe is made with fresh ingredients it is best to use it right away but the author says you can store it in your fridge for 3-5 days.

Red Raspberry Facial Mask

Raspberries are one of my favorite fruits, but I would never have thought of putting them in a facial mask.  This Red Raspberry Facial Mask Recipe  from The Natural Beauty Workshop is great for combination skin.  If you make this facial mask you can share it with a friend or two or you can store it in the refrigerator for 3-5 days if you seal it tightly.  You must know that with all natural formulations, the mask will run the risk of becoming contaminated or going rancid prematurely if you do not add a preservative.  You should discard your mask if it changes color, order or if it appears "off" in any other way.

Healing Facial Mask

According to The Natural Beauty Workshop, our skin is exposed to wa whole lot of trouble on a regular basis. Nasty little microorganisms like mold,  yeast, fungus, and bacteria can sometimes creep in and wreak havoc.  Redness, itching, and even acne can be caused by these minor invasions.  Luckily, nature has provided us with some excellent ingredients to help drive these little beasts out.  Healing carrier oils like Karanja and Andiroba process natural properties of these oils also help our skin to calm down and recover.  These ingredients are combined with other ingredients in a Healing Facial Mask  to create a fresh mask to soothe and cleanse irritated skin.

Strawberry and Cream Facial Mask Recipe

Love Strawberries?  Then check out this strawberry and cream facial mask recipe from Allison B. Kontur of Bath Body Supply. This recipe for Strawberry and Cream Facial Mask Recipe is a very simple recipe with only 3 ingredients.

According to Alison, Strawberries contain salicylic acid which helps rid the skin of dead cells, helping to make your pores appear smaller and your face look brighter and shinier. They gently refresh and exfoliate the skin, remove impurities, and reduce redness and swelling. This is a wonderful cleansing and skin softening facial mask." And she says "Do NOT pre-mix wet and dry ingredients as they are not stable long-term without a preservative."
