If you have never made lotion before, it is very simple. Basically, it comes down to mixing water and a small amount of oil together. But you are going to say that the two do not mix. Well, you are right. In order to blend them together, you will need an emulsifier. And since this product is made with water, you will also need to add a perservative. This is an intermediate level recipe that yields three 8 oz bottles.

It has been quite awhile since I took a class at The Nova Studio on how to make cold process cupcake soaps. I really liked the class taught by Ruth Esteves but I have not tried to make the soaps on my own. I do plan to do it some day. But in the mean time, I found instructions from The Soap Queen called Lemon Cold Process Soap Cupcakes. I love lemons so I really want to try this. But just to let you know that this is an advanced technique and you should get 6 soap cupcakes from this recipe.

Beach Glass Aroma Crystals. These aroma filed crystals will fill any room with the scent of cobalt beach glass. This is very easy to make. Once you are done, all you have to do is pour the crystals into a small bowl and place in a smaller sized room. Stir the crystals once a week to redistribute the fragrance.

Orange Peel Swirl Soap. This soap uses four different shades of orange to make a bright orange swirl. If you use the recommended fragrance for this recipe it behaves really well. The swirl technique in this project was done with an easy swirl tool and a comb swirl tool. I will have to look into getting those two tools and give this recipe a try.
